Fiber PHanatic

I am learning to use my new toy - the rigid heddle loom. Kat gave me some lovely warp to warp the loom and I began weaving after Terri showed me how to warp and get started. this is very small compared to where I'm at now!!!! Close up of the woven part. Good thing this is just practice - I have made a TON of mistakes. Teacher Myra said she'd make me go back and correct them but I don't think so now - I've gotten about 2 ft done on the loom - not happening!!!! I don't mind the mistakes and I'll just use it as a table runner for me!

Due to some unfortunate circumstances of a friend I was able to get a small rigid heddle loom. I would rather my friend be able to keep everything and go on - life as normal. But that isn't the case. I was planning on buying a similar loom this year anyhow if finances could be found but I was happy to be able to help out my friend too! But I told her she could have it back if her circumstances changed. SOOOOOO - tada here is the new rigid heddle loom. NOW - I have to learn how to use it....maybe she will begin teaching me today since we are getting together for a fiber processing afternoon!!!
