Pagosa Fiber Fest

One of the things we did while we were in Pagosa was going to the Fiber Festival!!!! First we got to see the sheep being sheared.
And love on the Alpaca Cria - AWWWWWWWWWW! Adorable!!!!!
If I could have slipped this precious baby into my bag and snuck it home I would have!!!!

Two beautiful Llamas - One Suri style and One Huacaya style. From Sharp's Llamas. I LOVE the silvery colored Suri Llama - They hummed for us!

And a Scottish Highlander Cow - Did you know that you could brush out their undercoat and spin it? This is a little bull (well, he wasn't that little) but he sure was cute!!!! Who they comb out and use the fiber!!!!
Notice there are no pics of fiber products? I actually walked away from this show with no FIBER!!! I know that comes as a huge surprise to everyone but I have so much fiber right now I don't know where to store it all - I am learning to excercise some self control and use what I have before I buy more (accepting gifts of fiber and yarn don't count under the self control part - Anyone is welcome to drop off anything that is useable on my front porch!! LOL - JUST KIDDING!!!!!) Truth be known I was broke (thankfully) and very tempted to I'm glad I left my credit card at home locked up and most vendors would not take out of state checks!
